Students of the Erasmus exchange program at the Faculty of Law of TSU

During the 2023/24 academic year, within the framework of Erasmus+ Students Mobility, the TSU Faculty of Law recently received foreign students from higher educational institutions across various European countries, including the University of Bologna (Italy), the Lille Catholic University (France). During their semester-long stay at the TSU, these students engaged in English-language courses provided by the Faculty of Law.

See in details the impressions and feedback of some of the students about the Erasmus project and the semester spent at TSU.

The TSU Faculty of Law offers undergraduate, master's and doctoral students the Erasmus+ project funded by the European Union, under which framework the TSU Faculty of Law hosts foreign students. They have the opportunity to study for one semester at the Faculty of Law and take English language courses offered by the Faculty.

My name is Chiara Luccioli, I am a second-year Master’s student of Political Sciences, currently pursuing a Master’s degree in East European and Eurasian studies at the University of Bologna, from where I also graduated from my Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures in 2022, with focus on French and Russian language and literature. I am thrilled to share that my experience at Tbilisi State University as part of the Erasmus exchange program has been truly remarkable. From the beginning, I was pleasantly surprised by the welcoming atmosphere and the commitment to providing a quality education. The faculty and staff at Tbilisi State University played a pivotal role in creating a supportive environment, fostering a positive learning experience throughout my stay. The cultural exchange was enriching, offering me unique insights into the vibrant and diverse culture of Georgia. This aspect of the Erasmus program has been invaluable in broadening my perspective and enhancing my personal and academic growth. I encourage fellow students to seize the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus exchange program at Tbilisi State University, as the chance to study abroad and immerse oneself in a different cultural context is truly a transformative experience!

My name is Maxime Plantet I’m an undergraduate student from the Catholic University of Lille in France. Different things marked me during my Erasmus in Georgia. I will start with the people and the landscape. This country is like a rough diamond still not well known in Europe. But I fell in love with it, thanks to different people I encounter and my multiple trips through the various and quite different region of the country. In this way I discovered incredible humans including some with whom I stay in touch even after my return to France and places I will for sure need to visit again. I also took a lot of pleasure in tracking down the culture and the history of the country through my different classes. Finally, I would also lay the stress on the university that had welcome me TSU. I had great moment learning from all the amazing teachers and discovering new topics such as international criminal law. Thus overall I can affirm for sure that this Erasmus was an amazing lifetime experience that I will remember and cherish for the rest of my life. And I hope that this Erasmus + program will continue to develop itself in order to offer to even more foreign students the same chance that I had to discover Georgia!

In my third year pursuing a European Bachelor's degree in Political Sciences in Lille, France, I embarked on an enriching ERASMUS exchange at Tbilisi State University (TSU). Despite limited prior knowledge of the Caucasus and Georgia, I quickly fell in love with the region. TSU not only offers exceptional courses with attentive professors but also fosters a supportive academic community. Beyond the classroom, exploring the stunning landscapes of Kazbegi's mountains and Batumi's coastal beauty added a unique and unforgettable aspect to my academic journey. As I gear up for a Master's in Human Rights next year, my time at TSU has not only broadened my academic horizons but has also left a lasting impact on my personal and cultural perspectives.
